President Bola Tinubu has prayed for lasting peace, national unity and an end to insecurity in Nigeria during his spiritual visit to Saudi Arabia.
The President made the remarks on Friday after performing Umrah, the lesser Hajj, at the Grand Mosque, Masjid al-Haram, in Makkah.
Speaking to journalists after the religious exercise, Tinubu described the pilgrimage as spiritually fulfilling, saying his prayers were significant to him, Nigeria and its citizens.

“I feel good, I feel fulfilled, gives me a sense of spiritual thing for me, and the country, and the children,” he said in an interview shared online by the Nigerian Television Authority.
The President also linked the significance of the exercise to his belief in the love of Nigerians, his commitment to his responsibilities and his faith in Allah.
“I believe the love of the people, the commitment to the job, and the visible commitment to our Allah’s wish, Inshallah, and there’s no other God but Allah,” he said.
Tinubu further prayed for Nigerians to enjoy peace, harmony and happiness, while encouraging them to maintain their faith in God.
