AC Milan’s Fikayo Tomori apologizes to John Terry after ranking him 10th in top ten centre-backs of all time during a blind ranking challenge

AC Milan defender Fikayo Tomori has publicly apologised to Chelsea legend John Terry after placing him in 10th position in a blind ranking of the top ten centre-backs of all time.

The ranking, organised by SPORTBible, required Tomori to rank players one name at a time without knowing the full list. Terry’s name appeared when only the 10th and 1st positions remained.

“10… Hey, JT – I’m sorry,” Tomori said, acknowledging the unintended slight. He later admitted he would have ideally placed Terry in third position, shifting other players down to accommodate him.

In the ranking, Paolo Maldini and Alessandro Nesta claimed the top two positions, followed by Sergio Ramos in third. Rio Ferdinand and Virgil van Dijk were ranked fifth and sixth, while Gerard Pique, Giorgio Chiellini, and Vincent Kompany occupied seventh through ninth positions.

Tomori’s apology reflects his respect for Terry’s legendary career and underscores the playful yet thoughtful nature of the blind ranking challenge.
