The world football governing body announced the special edition ball on Tuesday, confirming that it will be used for the tournament’s final four matches, including the championship decider at the New York New Jersey Stadium in the United States on July 19.

The TRIONDA Final retains the performance-focused construction of the original TRIONDA ball introduced in October 2025 but comes with a refreshed premium design created specifically for the most important games of the competition.

FIFA said the gold, white and black colour scheme represents the significance of the tournament’s final phase, with the gold finish symbolising the FIFA World Cup trophy and the black elements providing a distinctive identity for the decisive matches.

The design also pays tribute to all 16 host cities of the expanded 2026 World Cup across Canada, Mexico and the United States.

Cities hosting the final stages, including Dallas, Atlanta, Miami and New York New Jersey, are prominently represented, while Boston, Guadalajara, Houston, Kansas City, Los Angeles, Mexico City, Monterrey, Philadelphia, San Francisco Bay Area, Seattle, Toronto and Vancouver feature through the ball’s triangular graphics.

FIFA President Gianni Infantino said the new ball reflects the importance and excitement surrounding the final matches of football’s biggest tournament.

“The TRIONDA FINAL ball for the last four matches of the FIFA World Cup is here,” Infantino said.

“The iconic TRIONDA has brought so much joy every time it has hit the back of the net in this FIFA World Cup and it perfectly embodies the unity and passion of the tournament’s host nations Canada, Mexico and the United States.”

Infantino added that the ball would become part of World Cup history as the best players in the world compete for the ultimate prize.

“Through every touch, dribble, flick, pass, cross, save, strike and goal, the 16 cities that have helped FIFA stage the record-breaking 23rd edition of the tournament will be further etched into FIFA World Cup folklore,” he said.

Beyond its visual design, the TRIONDA Final includes the latest version of adidas Connected Ball Technology, which provides real-time data to support match officials and improve decision-making during games.

The technology is designed to assist referees with faster and more accurate decisions while also providing additional information for match analysis.
