The video, which allegedly featured fake audio of the president, circulated widely on social media before attracting official attention.

Reacting to the development, President Tinubu’s media aide, Bayo Onanuga, warned that VDM could face legal consequences over the incident.

In response, VeryDarkMan said he would not deny or defend the allegations surrounding the video, insisting instead that he is prepared to face any legal action.

“I will not defend the allegations. If I respond, let God punish me. I want to face that law,” he said.

He added that he is willing to travel and appear before authorities, stressing that he is unafraid of confrontation.

The critic also maintained that he has the right to express his views in a democratic society, arguing that government actions should remain open to scrutiny.

“If you are pained that VDM is speaking, what option do I have other than to speak? It is my right to criticise the government when it is doing wrong,” he said.
