The Super Eagles striker left the match at halftime after colliding with Ibrahima Konate, suffering a fractured arm.

He spent the holiday in Lagos before returning to Turkey, where Galatasaray’s doctor, Yener Ince, performed the surgery successfully.

Dr Ince confirmed that Osimhen will start rehabilitation immediately to ensure a swift return to the pitch.

Turkish football commentator Ali Naci Kucuk revealed Osimhen’s first words after the procedure: “We will be champions, my president. Don’t worry, chairman, I will be on the field soon.”

Galatasaray president Dursun Ozbek said the striker is healthy and expected to return as soon as possible.

Osimhen is likely to miss matches against Trabzonspor, Goztepe, Kocaelispor, and Genclerbirligi while recovering. He will also miss Nigeria’s March international friendlies against Iran and Jordan.

If rehabilitation goes according to plan, the 26-year-old forward could return for the Istanbul derby against Fenerbahce on April 26, 2026.
