Wikki Tourists have been dealt a significant setback ahead of their Nigeria Premier Football League clash against Bayelsa United, with six first-team players ruled out of the matchday 34 fixture at the Samson Siasia Stadium.

Wikki Tourists injury crisis Bayelsa United concern comes at a critical stage of the season as the Bauchi-based side continues its fight to avoid relegation from the NPFL.

The club confirmed that Nasiru Jibrin, Klingshak Longbak, Utum Godswill, Haruna Aliyu, Usman Abdullahi, and Ibrahim Shuaibu will all miss Sunday’s encounter for varying reasons.

Jibrin is currently recovering from a knee injury, while Longbak has been sidelined due to illness.

First-choice goalkeeper Utum Godswill will also miss the fixture after receiving a first-half red card in Wikki Tourists’ 2–2 draw against Enyimba in their previous outing.

Aliyu, Abdullahi, and Shuaibu are also unavailable due to separate injury concerns, further limiting the team’s options ahead of the decisive fixture.
