Several travellers have been killed and others injured following a violent attack by armed bandits along the Gusau–Magami highway in Gusau Local Government Area of Zamfara State.
Bandit attack in Zamfara kills travellers incident was confirmed in a statement issued on Sunday by the Councillor representing Magami Ward, Hon. Shehu Musa, who described the assault as brutal and unprovoked.
According to the statement, the victims were travelling from Gusau to Magami when armed men ambushed their convoy and opened fire, causing multiple casualties and widespread panic.
The councillor expressed condolences to the families of those affected, noting that both the deceased and injured had suffered a tragic loss during the attack. However, he did not disclose the exact number of victims.
