In a visit that has generated enthusiasm and renewed optimism among staff, the Group Managing Director (GMD) of Abuja Investments Company Limited (AICL), Ambassador Dr. Maureen Tamuno PhD, recently paid a courtesy visit to the headquarters of Abuja Property Development Company (APDC), a significant subsidiary of AICL.

The GMD was warmly welcomed by the Acting Managing Director of APDC, Mr. Akeem Kolawole Aderogba, along with other members of the management team and staff who gathered to express their appreciation for her visit.
The APDC Acting MD commended Amb. Tamuno’s leadership, highlighting her as the first GMD to visit the APDC office twice and directly engage with the staff.
He particularly emphasized her instrumental role, alongside the Minister of the FCT, in securing the approval for a long-awaited salary increase for staff after eighteen years, a milestone that has significantly boosted morale and productivity.
The Acting MD also acknowledged the transformative impact of the GMD’s leadership and expressed optimism for continued positive developments within the company.
During her visit, Amb. Tamuno inspected the newly completed ACE Shopping Complex, a crucial amenity within the APDC Capital Estate in Kaba, designed to serve the needs of its residents.
She congratulated the APDC management team on the completion of the complex and reiterated her commitment to the progress and development of APDC, emphasizing the importance of performance, accountability, and a proactive approach to achieving company objectives.
Amb. Tamuno also expressed her sincere appreciation to the Honourable Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Barr. Nyesom Wike, CON, for his unwavering support and visionary leadership in the ongoing restructuring of AICL and its subsidiaries.
She stated, “I thank His Excellency, the Minister of FCT, Barr. Nyesom Wike, who is our overall boss. Because without his responsiveness and commitment to see the growth of AICL and its subsidiaries, and for the welfare of the people, that mileage would not have been possible. So, we extend our thanks to him, even in absentia, for what he has done.”
Amb. Tamuno further highlighted two significant upcoming events: The Abuja International Investment Forum in London on June 19th, 2025, themed “Exploring Investment Opportunities in Africa’s Gateway-Nigeria,” and The Abuja Business & Investment Expo, scheduled to take place between October 21st and 25th, 2025, at the newly renovated International Conference Centre Abuja, with the theme “Empowering Sustainable Growth, Unlocking Potential In Emerging Markets.”
Amb. Tamuno concluded by stressing the importance of a cordial and productive relationship between APDC and AICL, reiterating her commitment to supporting APDC’s growth while ensuring its responsible operation within the AICL framework.
In the vote of thanks, delivered on behalf of APDC, Ambassador Tamuno’s dedication and impactful presence were highlighted.
She was described as a leader who “knows the way, goes the way, and shows the way,” emphasizing her hands-on approach, willingness to confront challenges, and inspiring influence on the APDC team.
Organisers of Real Talk With Kike have unveiled a high-profile lineup of speakers for the programme’s seventh anniversary celebration, which will also commemorate ace broadcaster Kikelomo Atanda-Owo Abati’s more than 20-year journey in the Nigerian media industry.
The milestone event will hold on October 10, 2026, at Eko Hotels and Suites, Lagos, bringing together leaders from government, business, media and culture for conversations on Nigeria’s future.
Leading the keynote sessions are Dr Kadiri Obafemi Hamzat, Deputy Governor of Lagos State, and Mr Vlassis Liakouris, Group Managing Director of Mandilas Group Limited.
Also confirmed as distinguished speakers are Mr Kola Adesina, Group Managing Director of Sahara Group, and Dr Toyosi Akerele-Ogunsiji, Founder of Rise Network, while Mrs Bola Adesola, Chairman of the Board of Ecobank Nigeria, will deliver the goodwill message.
The speakers will engage the theme, “The Future of Nigeria: Where Leadership, Innovation, Culture and Media Converge to Shape Nation Building,” exploring how governance, enterprise, innovation and storytelling can shape national development.
According to the organisers, the theme reflects the philosophy that has defined Real Talk With Kike over the past seven years as a platform for meaningful conversations on leadership, society, business, relationships, culture and contemporary issues affecting Nigeria.
For Kikelomo Atanda-Owo Abati, the celebration marks two significant milestones. Beyond the programme’s seventh anniversary, it also celebrates more than two decades of broadcasting, making the occasion a tribute to longevity, impact and the power of dialogue.
The multidisciplinary speaker lineup mirrors the event’s nation-building focus. Hamzat is expected to share perspectives on public leadership and governance, while Adesina and Liakouris will discuss private-sector leadership, enterprise and innovation. Akerele-Ogunsiji will contribute insights on education, youth development and innovation, with Adesola bringing the perspective of corporate governance and financial-sector leadership.
The October gathering is expected to attract policymakers, business executives, media personalities, creatives and guests who have been part of the Real Talk With Kike journey since its inception, reinforcing its reputation as one of Nigeria’s leading platforms for thought-provoking conversations.
