Blessing CEO EFCC fraud case continues as influencer is re-arraigned in Lagos over alleged ₦69m and ₦36m charges

Nigerian relationship therapist and social media influencer Blessing Okoro, popularly known as Blessing CEO, has been re-arraigned by the Lagos Zonal Directorate 1 of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) before Justice R.A. Oshodi of the Special Offences Court in Ikeja over fresh allegations of fraud involving ₦69,150,000.

Blessing CEO EFCC fraud case comes amid widening legal scrutiny, as prosecutors also linked her to an earlier ₦36 million charge bordering on alleged obtaining by false pretence and stealing, reportedly connected to a disputed property transaction in Lekki, Lagos.

Court proceedings on Tuesday revealed that the influencer now faces multiple counts tied to separate allegations, with the EFCC maintaining that the cases involve tenancy-related disputes and financial misrepresentation.

According to earlier filings, Blessing CEO had initially been arraigned on May 15, 2026, over the ₦36 million allegation and was granted bail set at ₦10 million.

She was subsequently re-arraigned following additional charges, escalating the legal proceedings into a more complex and closely watched case.

In a lengthy statement shared on her Instagram page, Blessing CEO addressed the allegations directly, insisting she is facing three separate issues involving the EFCC.

She described the first as a ₦36 million tenancy dispute, which she claimed had already been settled, and a second ₦69 million case, which remains before the court.

She also referenced a third matter involving what she called a “cancer drama” linked to public donations.

The influencer stated that she had been in EFCC custody for 26 days before being remanded at Kirikiri Correctional Centre pending the completion of bail conditions.

“I did not sell anyone houses at my office. I will gist you all after the case is over, but I am in high spirits,” she wrote.

Blessing CEO also reflected on previous legal encounters, noting that this is her second time in detention, the first being in 2022 over cyberbullying and defamation allegations.

Despite the serious charges, she maintained a defiant and optimistic tone, insisting that her situation would ultimately “end in praise” and describing the legal battle as a potential turning point in her life.

She also acknowledged receiving public attention and support, while joking about the publicity generated by the case.

EFCC has not issued further public comments beyond the formal charges, while the case remains ongoing at the Special Offences Court in Lagos.
