The approval covers corps members from Batch A Stream I and II through to Batch C Stream I and II.

It recognises the patriotism, dedication and selfless service of these young graduates who are making meaningful contributions in education, healthcare, agriculture and other vital sectors driving progress in Zamfara.

Governor Dauda Lawal has directed the Office of the Accountant General to make all necessary arrangements for smooth and timely implementation of the payments in line with established procedures.

This thoughtful initiative comes as a powerful demonstration of support for the NYSC scheme at a time when many states are seeking ways to attract and retain corps members amid security and infrastructure challenges in parts of northern Nigeria.

A statement from the Zamfara State Government expressed gratitude to the corps members for choosing to serve in the state.

“The administration will continue to prioritise initiatives aimed at supporting corps members and creating an enabling environment that will allow them to discharge their national responsibilities effectively,” it added.

The gesture is expected to boost morale among the young professionals and encourage greater participation in community development projects.

By investing in the welfare of NYSC members, Governor Dauda Lawal’s administration is sending a clear signal of appreciation for their role in strengthening key public services.
