Mosan-Okunola LCDA presents free 2026 GCE forms to indigent students, urging beneficiaries to study hard and achieve excellent results

The Executive Chairman of Mosan-Okunola Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Hon. Akindele Adunni Opeyemi, and her Vice Chairman, Hon. Akintola Falade, have charged beneficiaries of the council’s free General Certificate of Education (GCE) forms to study diligently and strive for excellent results that would make the council proud.

They gave the charge during the presentation of the 2026 GCE forms to indigent students across the council area.

The presentation ceremony, held at the council’s multipurpose hall, reaffirmed the administration’s commitment to education and its determination to provide equal opportunities for students, irrespective of their socioeconomic backgrounds.

Represented by the Leader of the House, Hon. Babatunde Tosin Afuape, the Executive Chairman urged the beneficiaries to approach their examinations with confidence, discipline and determination.

She said, “Today marks the beginning of an important journey in your academic lives. I encourage you to approach your examinations with confidence, discipline and determination. Believe in yourselves, study diligently and never allow fear to stand in your way.

“On behalf of the Executive Chairman of Mosan-Okunola LCDA, Hon. Akindele Adunni Opeyemi, I wish all our 2026 GCE candidates outstanding success. May your hard work produce excellent results and open the doors to greater opportunities,” she prayed.

The Vice Chairman and Supervisor for Education and Library Services, Hon. Akintola Falade, also urged the beneficiaries to reciprocate the council’s investment in their education by working hard and striving for excellent results.

He said, “Put in your best, do the hard work and pray. Prayer makes a difference. Do not rely on your ability alone; remain humble and submissive to your parents.”

Also speaking, the Deputy Leader of the House and Chairman of the Committee on Education and Library Services, Hon. Hassan Kehinde Yakub, urged the students to maximise the opportunity provided by the council and commence their preparations for the examinations early.

One of the beneficiaries, Akinwunmi Darasimi, presented a graphic design banner to the Chairman in appreciation of her support. In recognition of the gesture, the Legislative Arm of the council presented him with a cash gift of ₦100,000.

Speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries, Ebunoluwa Adedoyin expressed appreciation to the Chairman and the council for removing the financial burden associated with the examination.

She prayed for success for all the candidates and pledged that the beneficiaries would make the council proud through their academic performance.
