The Group Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Abuja Investments Company Limited, Ambassador Maureen Tamuno, has announced that all arrangements have been concluded for the Abuja Investment Expo 2026, a three-day summit designed to attract fresh investment, deepen public-private partnerships and accelerate economic growth across the Federal Capital Territory.

The flagship event, organised by Abuja Investments Company Limited, will take place from August 5 to 7, 2026, at the Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Conference Centre in Abuja under the theme, “Building Nigeria’s Capital: Investment as a Catalyst for Economic Growth.”

Speaking ahead of the summit, Tamuno described the event as a transformative platform that has grown beyond an annual gathering into a strategic vehicle for positioning Abuja as Nigeria’s foremost investment destination.

According to Tamuno, the Abuja Investment Expo 2026 will provide investors with direct access to commercially viable opportunities while promoting enterprise development, fostering stronger collaboration between government and the private sector and showcasing the Federal Capital Territory’s expanding economic potential.

“It is more than an event. It is a strategic platform to position Abuja as Nigeria’s leading investment destination by connecting investors with opportunities, strengthening public-private partnerships, promoting enterprise development and showcasing the immense potential of the Federal Capital Territory,” Tamuno said.

The AICL chief noted that the initiative aligns with the infrastructure-led development agenda of the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Barrister Nyesom Wike, as well as President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, which seeks to make Nigeria a globally competitive investment destination.

Tamuno said Abuja’s investment profile has continued to strengthen through sustained infrastructure renewal and business-friendly reforms, adding that the Federal Capital Territory’s improving investment climate is reflected in the 2025 Presidential Enabling Business Environment Council Subnational Ease of Doing Business Report, which ranked the FCT fourth among Nigeria’s 37 subnational entities.

“Abuja Investment Expo 2026 is designed to translate this progress into practical investments, strategic partnerships and measurable economic outcomes,” Tamuno added.

The summit will bring together an influential mix of local and international investors, diplomats, development partners, policymakers, entrepreneurs, corporate executives, researchers, exhibitors, women-led enterprises and youth innovators.

A major highlight of the opening ceremony will be the keynote address by the Director-General of the Securities and Exchange Commission, Dr Emomotimi John Agama.

The programme also features an impressive lineup of speakers and panellists drawn from government, finance and industry. They include the Special Adviser to the President on Economic Matters, Tope Fasua; Botswana’s High Commissioner to Nigeria, Philda Nani Kereng; Sabou Capital founding partner Surayyah Ahmad; Soundcore Group Chief Executive Officer Anthony Nwakolor; RBI Perse Advisory Limited Chief Executive Officer Amanda Fese; veteran actress and filmmaker Joke Silva; AICL Chief Investment Officer Dr Abiodun Akanbi; Mines Cadastral Office Director-General Engr Obadiah Simon Nkom; Preston Trading Company Chief Executive Officer Olusegun Adedayo; Critical Minerals Financing Corporation Plc Chief Executive Officer Dr Israel Oviri; National Credit Guarantee Company Head of Compliance and Internal Control Sa’adatu Salley; Adeoye Abiodun; AICL Chief Financial Officer Bode Akinrinde; Deutsche Partners Holding Managing Partner Dr Onuoha Nnachi; Fountain Havens Nigeria Limited Director of Sales Ruona Oghuvbu; and New Enugu Smart City Managing Director Nkeriu Arum.

The closing day’s keynote address will be delivered by Ghana’s Deputy Chief of Staff for Administration, Nana Oye Bampoe Addo, adding a regional dimension to discussions on investment and economic cooperation.

The event comes as Abuja continues to attract increasing investor attention amid renewed government efforts to improve infrastructure, streamline business processes and expand opportunities across sectors including real estate, technology, mining, manufacturing, infrastructure and financial services.

Over the past two editions, the Abuja Business and Investment Expo has evolved into one of the capital’s leading investment forums, providing a meeting point for investors seeking partnerships with government agencies and private sector stakeholders.

Tamuno said AICL itself has undergone a remarkable transformation over the past two years, evolving from an organisation focused largely on promoting its mandate into a trusted investment facilitation agency attracting growing interest from domestic and international investors as well as development partners.

According to Tamuno, the increasing profile of the annual summit reflects Abuja’s emergence as one of Africa’s most promising investment destinations, with the 2026 edition expected to build on that momentum through meaningful dialogue, strategic partnerships and long-term investment commitments.
