Tackling illegal mining operations in Ondo State

In a bid to address the rising cases of illegal mining in Ondo State, Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa’s aide, Honourable Afolawe Sipasi – Aluko, visited the Ondo State Command of the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) to request their assistance

An aide to Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa of Ondo State, Honourable Afolawe Sipasi – Aluko has earlier on Friday paid a scheduled visit to the Ondo State Command of the Nigeria Immigration Service, NIS, to seek support in tackling the increasing rates of illegal mining operators in the State in recent times.

Welcoming Honourable Afolawe Sipasi – Aluko, the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor of Ondo State on Mining at the NIS Command in Akure, the State Comptroller of Ondo State, F A. Anara expressed the readiness of the Command to provide every support needed by the Senior Special Assistant in Mining to curb the trend of illegal mining in the State.

Anara assured Afolawe Sipasi – Aluko of the NIS resolve to provide necessary logistics to apprehend anybody involved in illegal mining activities in the State.

Honourable Afolawe Sipasi – Aluko however thanked the NIS Command led by its State Comptroller in Ondo State for the warm reception accorded her visit to the Command’s headquarters in Akure, the Ondo State capital.
