Spokesman for the command, Tochukwu Ikenga, said the operation followed intelligence-driven information that led officers to the location of the planned ceremony on the morning of 15 June 2025.

According to Ikenga, the police recovered one Jojef pump action gun, two live cartridges, two cutlasses, and a golden Lexus SUV with registration number ATN 202 AE.

Other recovered items included two scissors, a cap bearing the Supreme Vikings confraternity insignia, charms, and substances suspected to be hard drugs.

Those arrested were identified as Nwadike Chibuike, Anierobi Precious, Raphael Ebube, Ezechi Benjamin, Okafor Chidera, and Chiema Okoye. All are males aged between 20 and 30.

He added that, “The suspects are currently undergoing interrogation to reveal more details about their operations. On completion of investigations, they will be charged to court.”
