The suspects, 25-year-old Ayuba Ahmadu and Danlami Ayuba, were intercepted with a total of 560 litres of fuel, split evenly between two Honda motorcycles, raising immediate suspicion, SP Nafi’u Habib, the state police spokesperson, told journalists at the command headquarters.

“During interrogation, the suspects confessed to selling fuel and other logistics to bandits,” SP Habib said, noting that the arrests were part of sustained intelligence-led operations targeting support networks that sustain criminal activity.

The police added that investigations are ongoing to identify other collaborators, warning the public that anyone found aiding bandits would face the full weight of the law.
