The actress recently opened up about a painful memory involving a respected Nollywood director who once told her she was “too ugly to act.”

In an interview with Saturday Punch, Blessing—who is married to actor Stan Nze—shared how those words cut deep but didn’t stop her from pursuing her dream.

“I even remember when a popular director I deeply respected once told me I was too ugly to be in front of the camera. But look at me now,” she said.

Blessing’s passion for acting started early in secondary school and flourished in university, although she had to take a break due to academic pressure. After graduating, she worked at a top oil company before deciding to return fully to acting.

It’s not out yet, but people will see me in a completely different light

“Life was good, but after about three years, I decided to leave and focus fully on acting,” she explained.

Despite the harsh criticism, Blessing refused to give up.

Today, she’s a rising force in Nollywood, with a strong presence both on-screen and off. She also hinted that her most challenging role yet will be revealed in an upcoming original film.

“It’s not out yet, but people will see me in a completely different light,” she said.
