The 28-year-old, who left Everton this summer after nine years and 71 goals in 273 appearances, joins Daniel Farke’s squad as the Yorkshire club prepares to kick off their top-flight campaign — ironically, against Calvert-Lewin’s former club.

Although he won’t feature in Monday’s clash against Everton, Leeds boss Daniel Farke expressed excitement about the forward’s potential impact this season.

“Dominic is a proven Premier League player… It’s a chance for him to revive his career and reach former heights,” Farke said.

Calvert-Lewin has battled injury setbacks in recent years but still featured in 26 games last season. Farke described him as a player who “ticks all the boxes,” highlighting his experience, age, and all-round striker qualities.

Once considered one of England’s rising forwards, Calvert-Lewin last played for the national team in 2021, earning 11 caps and scoring four goals, including appearances during Euro 2020.
