Fulham defender Calvin Bassey expressed disappointment after missing a key opportunity in his team’s 0-0 stalemate with Nottingham Forest.

The Nigerian international came close to scoring early in the game but failed to direct his header on target despite beating his marker.

“It was a big chance. I wasn’t sure if I was onside or offside at the moment. I timed the jump well, but I hit it straight at the keeper. It’s got to be a goal,” Bassey admitted.

The 25-year-old has scored once in 22 league appearances for Fulham this season under manager Marco Silva.
