Afrobeats superstar Davido delivered a sensational performance in New York, treating fans to a pre-release concert featuring tracks from his highly anticipated fifth album, “5ive.”

The five-time Grammy nominee captivated the audience with live renditions of unreleased songs, including his eagerly awaited collaborations with Victony and Musa Keys.

This pre-album release event in the US follows Davido’s recent album listening party in Nigeria and his appearance on Santi’s live stream, where he shared insights into the album’s title. The excitement is palpable as fans count down to the official release.

Adding to the anticipation, Davido recently dropped the single “Be There Still,” a vibrant Amapiano log drum fusion that blends pidgin and English. This track sets the stage for “5ive,” scheduled for release on April 18.

2025 has been a whirlwind year for Davido, marked by his fifth Grammy nomination at the 67th Grammys for Best African Song Performance on Chris Brown’s “Sensational.” He also secured five nominations at the upcoming 17th Headies, further cementing his status as one of the most decorated artists in the awards’ history.

“5ive” promises to be a star-studded affair, featuring collaborations with Nigerian superstar Omah Lay, who described their track as a “perfect partnership.” Adekunle Gold has also teased a potential guest appearance, fueling further excitement.

Davido has already released two singles from the album, “Awuke” featuring Jamaican dancehall sensation YG Marley, and “Funds” featuring Chike and OdumoduBlvck, both of which have garnered significant attention.
