Nigerian rap icon Olamide Adedeji, widely known as Olamide, recently stole the spotlight at a high-profile event in Abuja, where he shared warm and unforgettable moments with key figures from the country’s entertainment industry.

The evening served as a reunion of sorts, bringing together music and film stars including Nollywood actor Femi Adebayo, veteran musician 9ice, and street-hop sensation Small Doctor.
One of the event’s most heartwarming highlights was Olamide’s interaction with Femi Adebayo. The music star, renowned for his influence in the Nigerian rap scene, praised Adebayo for his latest film Seven Doors.
In a touching display of admiration, Olamide referred to the actor as “boss man” and leaned in to quietly express how much he loved the film. Adebayo’s face lit up with joy, his smile revealing how meaningful the moment was.
Their exchange caught the attention of onlookers, including singer 9ice, who playfully quipped that what Adebayo really needed was money—prompting laughter from the group and showcasing the easy camaraderie among the stars.
Olamide’s respect for his peers shone again when he greeted 9ice. Almost prostrating as a traditional sign of respect, Olamide was swiftly pulled up by 9ice, leading to a warm, brotherly embrace that underscored their long-standing bond.
The spirit of unity continued as Olamide mingled with Small Doctor. Surrounded by fans chanting “Badoo”—his popular moniker—the two artists shared a private moment, whispering and laughing amidst the crowd’s excitement.

As former President of Silverbird Group from 1995 to 2015, Mr. Roy Murray-Bruce led the expansion of the organisation into one of West Africa’s most recognised media and entertainment brands, overseeing growth across radio, television, cinemas, retail, and property development.
During his tenure, he negotiated major international partnerships with organisations including Viacom, MTV Base Africa, the International Finance Corporation (IFC), and the English Premier League.
He also played a major role in pioneering Cineplex culture in Nigeria and West Africa, while leading the development of Silverbird Galleria projects and cinema expansions across Lagos, Abuja, Port Harcourt, Uyo, Ghana, and Kenya.
Mr. Roy Murray-Bruce currently serves on the boards of several companies including Silverbird Group, Silverbird Entertainment Ghana, Silverbird West Africa, Domino Group of Companies, and SAMUELSON Consulting Group, where he provides strategic guidance and governance oversight.
