eTranzact International secures FIRS certification, enhancing its role in Nigeria’s nationwide e-invoicing rollout and digital tax transformation
eTranzact International has earned certification from the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) as a key provider for its nationwide e-invoicing rollout.
This milestone builds on the firm’s previous collaboration with FIRS on VAT automation under Tax Administration 2.0, reinforcing eTranzact International’s position as a trusted leader in government-led digital tax innovation.
The FIRS Merchant Buyer Solution introduces structured digital invoices for business-to-business, business-to-consumer, and business-to-government transactions.
Designed to simplify tax compliance and increase transparency, the platform aims to modernise Nigeria’s tax processes on a broad scale.
FIRS officials praised the certified providers, highlighting their nationwide service capacity, security standards, neutrality, and scalability.
These criteria were developed with technical input from the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), which also ensured strong data protection and cybersecurity measures.
Niyi Toluwalope, CEO of eTranzact International, said the certification reflects the company’s vision to transform business-government interaction through innovation.
For eTranzact International, e-invoicing is not just compliance; it represents a path to enhanced transparency, efficiency, and value for all stakeholders.
This certification builds on eTranzact International’s history of tax automation partnerships.
In 2017, the company supported FIRS with an API system enabling secure VAT and WHT reporting, setting a precedent for digital tax transparency.
Beyond tax technology, eTranzact International also delivers solutions for other government institutions, including a military pensions verification system deployed in 2024.
With this certification, eTranzact International continues to play a critical role in Nigeria’s digital transformation, leveraging its two decades of experience to support FIRS’s mandate and enhance nationwide tax administration.
