Governor Okpebholo in Glasgow has taken centre stage at the 2025 Edo State Global Investment Summit, as he leads a high-level delegation to promote economic opportunities and reforms to international stakeholders.

Touching down in the United Kingdom on Sunday, the Governor of Edo State, Monday Okpebholo, arrived with his team to participate in the summit, which is being held in Glasgow.

Themed “Catalytic Partnerships: Global Funding & Local Impact,” the summit aims to connect Edo’s economic ambitions with international investors and development partners.

Speaking via an X (formerly Twitter) post shortly after his arrival, the governor declared:

“I’ve arrived at the Edo State Global Investment Summit 2025 in Glasgow, U.K. The theme, ‘Catalytic Partnerships: Global Funding & Local Impact,’ resonates as I connect with Edo’s diaspora and global partners, presenting our story of reforms, progress, and investment opportunities. A New Edo is rising.”

The summit forms part of the state government’s broader efforts to attract foreign direct investment, foster public-private partnerships, and showcase the transformational progress made under its economic reform agenda.

Governor Okpebholo in Glasgow used the platform to emphasise the critical role of the diaspora in Edo’s development, describing the summit as an opportunity to strengthen long-term partnerships and build investor confidence.
