In a recent interview with Isbaeu, Ice Prince expressed his deep gratitude to MI, referring to him as his “big brother” and acknowledging him for teaching him how to rap and for his invaluable mentorship.

He revealed that he spent years training under MI’s supervision, a period that he believes was crucial in shaping his abilities as a rapper.

“I can rap on any beat, with anybody, any rapper and I will stand out. I’m not going to have a wack verse on a song. I’m not saying other rappers cannot rap or do their thing but it can’t be said that I’m wack.

I was brought up by the best, shout out to MI Abaga. I rapped with MI for years. That’s my big brother, he taught me how to do this and he taught me well,” Ice Prince stated emphatically.

Ice Prince rose to prominence following the release of his hit single “Oleku” in 2011 and has since solidified his position as one of the leading figures in the Nigerian music and rap industry.

Interestingly, Ice Prince once shared that his passion for rap was ignited partly due to his inability to afford university registration fees, leading him to explore and eventually excel in the world of music.

His recent acknowledgment of MI’s pivotal role in his development underscores the importance of mentorship and guidance within the Nigerian entertainment industry.
