Popular Nigerian Comedienne and Social Media Influencer, Mercy Cynthia Ginikachukwu, also known as Ada Jesus, is dead.

Recall that the Comedienne has been suffering from kidney complications. She died two days after celebrating her birthday.

The news of her death has generated mixed reactions from friends and family members. Fans and well wishers had taken wine and cake to the deceased on her hospital bed and posed for photographs with her.

Ada Jesus’s travails began after she accused Rita Edochie, an actress, of conniving with Chukwuemeka Ohanaemere, controversial Onitsha-based clergyman better known as Odumeje, to stage fake miracles.

The movie star who, dismissed the allegations, accused the comedian of attempting to smear her reputation.

In a recent video, the family of the ailing comedienne had taken her to Odumeje’s church in Anambra to seek his forgiveness and divine healing.

But in the video, the controversial pastor vowed never to forgive her, saying “nobody speaks against me and go free. I’m not a man that you can joke with.”

Edochie, who was also present at the church, had said she would not forgive the entertainer, while further cursing her.

“If I have ever asked Ada to bring someone for Odumeje for fake miracles, may I never get anything I want on this earth. But if I did not, Ada will never get up from this sickness,” she had said.

But in an Instagram video on Sunday, the actress said she decided to forgive Ada Jesus after several pleas from her friends and fans.

Rita also said that the entertainer’s predicaments have vindicated her and the clergyman of the allegations. She urged Ada Jesus to ask for forgiveness and healing from God.
