The governor spoke at the Government House in Birnin Kebbi during a visit by executive members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) from Birnin Kebbi Local Government Area.

Idris revealed that he had held discussions with international investors during foreign trips but alleged that misinformation from some residents was portraying Kebbi as unsafe, potentially undermining investment opportunities.

He cited ongoing plans by Romanian and Chinese firms to establish a lithium processing facility and a cement factory in the state, projects he said could create substantial employment.

The governor also dismissed allegations that his administration supports bandit groups or facilitates arms inflow, describing the claims as false.
