Lagos APC Workers’ Day message praises workers’ dedication and resilience, commending their role in driving Lagos State’s growth and national development

The Lagos State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has extended warm greetings to workers across the state as Nigeria marks the 2026 Workers’ Day celebration, commending their vital role in sustaining economic growth and development.

The Lagos APC Workers’ Day message was delivered by the State Chairman, Cornelius Ojelabi, who praised workers for their dedication, resilience, and commitment to duty in public and private sectors.

Ojelabi described the workforce as a key pillar of Lagos State’s progress, noting that their contributions have helped maintain the state’s reputation as a leading centre of excellence in Nigeria.

He observed that since the return to democratic governance, workers have remained central to development achievements in Lagos, forming the backbone of policy implementation and service delivery.

The APC chairman also acknowledged the efforts of workers nationwide under the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, crediting their contributions for supporting economic stability and progress.

He reaffirmed the party’s commitment to the timely payment of salaries and the continuous improvement of labour conditions in line with global standards.

Ojelabi further commended youths, women, and men in the workforce for their sustained dedication to national development, describing their role as indispensable to the country’s future prosperity.

He expressed optimism that stronger collaboration between government and workers would continue to drive growth, improve productivity, and strengthen Lagos State’s development trajectory.
