Speaking on The Morning Show on Arise Television, Otubanjo stated that the United States’ military-industrial complex thrives on sustained conflict, noting that America’s economy heavily relies on warfare and arms sales.

He emphasized that the US has conducted over 58 military interventions globally.

Otubanjo also highlighted former President Donald Trump’s assertive approach, warning that countries without nuclear capabilities, like Nigeria, could become potential targets.

He said:

“So when Trump came in and was doing his usual boasting… it was obvious that the military industrial complex hadn’t walked up to him. They look for war because they have to sell their weapons… So it’s not going to be Iran, after Iran, there will be others. There will be Cuba, there will be South Africa. And if we are not lucky, there will be Nigeria. If you are not a nuclear power then be prepared for Trump.”
