CIBN pledges full support for ACAMB, backing new leadership and collaborative initiatives to enhance Nigeria’s banking sector standards

The meeting, held at the CIBN Building in Lagos, formally introduced the newly inaugurated ACAMB Executive Committee to the CIBN leadership and marked the start of a renewed collaborative alliance.

Jide Sipe, leading a delegation of the ACAMB EXCO and Board of Trustees, described the visit as a crucial first step in his tenure to advance the vision of the association.

“When we assumed office, one of the first things we agreed on was the need to visit key stakeholders. Before reaching out more broadly, it was important to begin with our primary constituency and core stakeholders. We want them to understand the direction we are taking and support our work so that ACAMB can achieve greater success than in the past,” Sipe stated.

He introduced the newly constituted ACAMB EXCO, including 2nd Vice President Morolake Phillip-Ladipo, General Secretary Olugbenga Owootomo, Assistant General Secretary Ademola Adeshola, Publicity Secretary Abiodun Coker, and Executive Secretary Fadekemi Ajakaiye.

Responding, Professor Pius Deji Olanrewaju commended the forward-thinking vision of ACAMB, noting that the association’s focus on reputational management, sustainable corporate practices, and governance reforms would strengthen Nigeria’s banking sector.
