The Group Managing Director, UTM FLNG, Julius Rone, will join other top industry experts and government officials to speak at the NOG Energy Week 2025 at the Bola Ahmed Tinubu International  Conference Centre, Abuja on Wednesday.

Rone, will join other leaders at strategic plenary session to discuss ideas on ‘’Strengthening Interconnected gas markets.’’ Attendees are expected to listen to solutions to key regulatory and gas infrastructure challenges, highlighting how the industry can collaborate to build a more efficient and interconnected gas trade system.

The session is crucial as global energy demand is projected to rise by about 30% by 2040, meeting this demand and expanding the gas market hinges on a coordinated approach that strengthens upstream production, accelerates midstream infrastructure development, and enhances market accessibility.

Across the continent, governments and industry players are forging strategic partnerships and establishing resilient trading networks to ensure reliable gas supply, with key infrastructure projects such as Nigeria-Morocco gas pipeline, NLNG Train 7 and the Ajaokuta-Kaduna-Kano (AKK) pipeline underway to establish gas trade routes and promote economic growth.

While challenges persist, the continued investment in these supply networks will be crucial to ensuring long-term sustainability.
