Polaris Bank organised the Global Trade Forum to strengthen Nigeria’s non-oil sector by addressing trade challenges and driving innovative business solutions.

The event, themed ‘Trade Export: Partnering for Growth,’ brought together exporters, regulators, business leaders, and Nigerian Customs officials

It provided a powerful platform for dialogue on trade finance, export readiness, compliance, and digital tools that simplify cross-border transactions.

Managing Director Kayode Lawal highlighted trade as a critical catalyst for sustainable economic growth.

He emphasised Polaris Bank’s role as more than just a financial institution but as a committed partner supporting long-term value creation for its clients.

Assistant Comptroller of Customs Aondona Fanyama demonstrated the Nigeria Trade Portal and B’Odogwu platform, showcasing how these tools enhance transparency, efficiency, and speed in exports and imports.

His commitment to resolving user challenges reflected a collaborative approach between Customs and the private sector.
