Renewed Agony Under Tinubu Administration was how former Osun State governor Olagunsoye Oyinlola described Nigeria’s current state under President Bola Tinubu, saying the government has failed to deliver on its campaign promise of Renewed Hope.

Speaking on Frontline, a program aired on Eagle 102.5 FM, Oyinlola did not hold back. “What we are seeing now is bad governance. The economy is in terrible shape. Nigerians are suffering deeply,” he said.

The retired general noted widespread poverty, insecurity, and inflation as clear indicators that Tinubu’s administration has not only fallen short but worsened living conditions.

Interestingly, Oyinlola acknowledged last week’s controversial PDP endorsement of Tinubu’s 2027 re-election as a strategic move, not a genuine show of support.

He stressed that the average Nigerian can no longer afford medication or basic needs and lamented religious tension, terrorism, and widespread banditry.

“The common man is burdened daily. What we have now is not renewed hope it’s renewed agony,” Oyinlola declared.
