Schneider Electric Secure Power Africa appoints Steven Santini VP to boost resilience, partnerships, and outcome-based solutions across the region

Schneider Electric, the global energy technology leader, announced over the weekend a strategic boost to its Secure Power division with the appointment of Steven Santini as Vice President for Sub-Saharan Africa.

The division safeguards critical infrastructure by delivering intelligent operational technologies and ecosystems that ensure energy reliability and digital availability.

With more than 15 years of experience in IT infrastructure, channel leadership, and strategic alliances, Santini will focus on reinforcing Secure Power’s ecosystem across the region.

His mandate includes strengthening partnerships, promoting outcome-based solutions, and ensuring resilient, efficient, and sustainable operations for customers and partners.

“I strongly believe we should not be selling products; we should be delivering outcomes. When we understand the full technology stack and the workloads our customers are running, the conversation shifts from racks and power distribution units to business performance, resilience and sustainability. That is where real value lies,” Santini said.

Santini highlighted that trust and relationships are central to success in Africa.

“Africa operates on relationships. People buy from people, and trust is everything. Our priority is to rebuild and strengthen our ecosystem – our partners, alliances and customers so that we create a strong foundation for sustainable growth through 2026 and beyond,” he added.

In his new role, Santini will lead the strategic direction of Secure Power in sub-Saharan Africa, supporting data centres, edge environments, industrial applications, and other critical infrastructure with innovative, resilience-focused solutions.

His leadership is expected to accelerate solution-selling strategies and elevate the division’s performance to top-tier levels.

Born and raised in South Africa, Santini previously served as IT Channel Director for Schneider Electric UK & Ireland, where he transformed the business from hardware sales to a solutions-led organisation.

Most recently, he has driven global strategic alliances, supporting enterprise data centres, prefabricated solutions, and sustainability-focused software initiatives.
