Enthusiastic party members and residents greeted the Vice President with cheers upon his arrival at the venue.

He was received by Ekiti State Governor Biodun Oyebanji, alongside senior government officials, APC leaders and other political stakeholders.

Videos shared on social media captured the energetic atmosphere as the campaign train for the Renewed Hope movement moved into the state.

The rally forms part of the APC’s nationwide mobilisation efforts to consolidate support for President Bola Tinubu and the Tinubu-Shettima ticket ahead of the 2027 general election.

The party has described the event as an opportunity to demonstrate its strength and connect with voters in Ekiti State.

Earlier in the day, Shettima departed Abuja for the state capital, with the visit also highlighting ongoing federal infrastructure projects in the area, including road reconstruction and support for the Ekiti Knowledge Zone.

This marks another high-profile engagement by the Vice President in Ekiti.

In October he attended the second-term inauguration of Governor Oyebanji at the same pavilion, representing the President.

The warm reception on Thursday underscored the continued momentum of the campaign in the South-West state.

Shettima is expected to address party leaders, stakeholders and supporters on the administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda and the importance of federal-state collaboration during the rally.
