Super Eagles goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali leaves Chippa United after four years; club thanks him for professionalism

Super Eagles goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali has officially departed South African club Chippa United after four years of service.

The announcement was confirmed by the club in an official statement on Thursday.

The 29-year-old Nwabali had signed a three-year contract extension with Chippa United in 2024 but submitted a transfer request seeking to move on. The club has agreed to grant his release, wishing him success in the next phase of his career.

“We sincerely thank Stanley Nwabali for his years of service, commitment, and professionalism at Chippa United Football Club. His contributions to the club will always be appreciated,” the statement read.

Nwabali’s departure marks the end of a significant chapter for the goalkeeper, who has been a key figure for both Chippa United and the Nigerian national team.
