Nigerian goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali is reportedly on the radar of East and North African clubs, with Simba SC of Tanzania and Morocco’s Raja Casablanca expressing interest in securing his signature.

Nwabali, 29, became a free agent after mutually agreeing to terminate his contract with South African side Chippa United last week.

The goalkeeper had spent four years with the Chilli Boys, earning a reputation as one of Africa’s top shot-stoppers.

The Super Eagles’ custodian gained continental acclaim during the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco, where his performances were widely praised despite Nigeria’s overall campaign.

Sources say Nwabali is actively exploring his options and is expected to weigh offers from both Simba SC and Raja Casablanca in the coming weeks.

Chippa United coach and teammates have expressed their disappointment at his departure, with the club acknowledging his significant contribution over the past four seasons.

Nwabali, meanwhile, thanked the team and fans in a farewell message, vowing to remain focused on his career progression.

Should the transfer materialize, Nwabali’s experience and international pedigree are expected to strengthen the goalkeeping options at his next club, while maintaining his profile as a key figure in Nigeria’s national team setup.
