Task Systems, a member of the Zinox Group and one of Africa’s pioneering technology enterprises, emerged as one of only 42 winners from over 4,600 nominations spanning 100 countries.

The recognition underscores Nigeria’s growing influence in global technology and reaffirms the country as a promising hub for investment and innovation.

Receiving the award, Task Systems’ under-35 Chief Executive Officer, Mrs Gozy Ijogun, hailed the accolade as a testament to the innovation and technical excellence achieved by Nigerians over the past decade.

She thanked the Nigerian government, multinational corporations, and local industry partners for their support.

“This award is a reflection of the trove of innovations and technological advancements by Nigerians at home. It calls for even more enterprise innovation, efficiency, and deeper engagement with diverse stakeholders,” Mrs Ijogun said.

The Chief Partner Officer and Corporate Vice President, Global Channel Partner Sales of Microsoft, Nicole Dezen, praised the global significance of the award.

“Every submission showcased innovation, technical excellence, and inclusion as partners bring transformative solutions to market,” she stated.

Founded in 1987, Task Systems has grown into a leading system integration company, providing cutting-edge ICT solutions across Nigeria and Sub-Saharan Africa.

Since Mrs Ijogun’s appointment as CEO in 2023, the company has strengthened efficiency, maintained a healthy balance sheet amid a volatile economy, and continued to deliver industry-leading solutions.

The award highlights Task Systems as the sole West African winner, solidifying Nigeria’s global position in critical technological areas such as cloud computing and artificial intelligence.

The company has deployed hundreds of ICT professionals to major organisations, including Shell, Chevron, and Total PLC.

Mrs Ijogun’s exceptional track record spans launching TD-Mobile, Nigeria’s first structured mobile devices distribution company, to leading TD Africa Distributions Ltd, representing over 25 global brands, including Microsoft, IBM, HP, and Apple Inc.

Her visionary leadership and innovative approach have consistently driven revenue growth, market share expansion, and sustainable enterprise development.

Beyond business, Mrs Ijogun spearheads corporate social responsibility initiatives, including “This is Me”, aimed at supporting marginalised individuals and promoting inclusivity across communities.

A product of a family with a deep pedigree in technology and entrepreneurship, she is the first child of Dr Leo Stan Ekeh, Forbes-recognised tech mogul and founder of Zinox Group, and Mrs Chioma Ekeh, Group CEO of TD Africa.
