UNILAG honours Midas Interiors for delivering a modern male sanitary facility at the Department of Chemical Engineering
The Vice Chancellor of the University of Lagos (UNILAG), Professor Folasade Ogunsola, has commended Midas Interiors Limited and its CEO, Mabel Nwanegbu, for contributing to campus infrastructure through a newly upgraded male sanitary facility at the Department of Chemical Engineering.
The facility, designed and executed by Midas Interiors Limited, replaces an outdated structure and introduces improved hygiene standards, modern fittings, and enhanced functionality for both students and staff within the department.
Speaking at the commissioning, Professor Ogunsola highlighted the importance of quality learning environments in shaping students’ values, behaviour, and academic excellence.
She emphasised that universities committed to producing well-rounded graduates must invest in spaces reflecting dignity, discipline, and excellence, and expressed gratitude to Midas Interiors Limited for its dedication under the leadership of Mabel Nwanegbu.
Mabel Nwanegbu described the project as a purposeful intervention to support education and student wellbeing.
She noted that UNILAG’s recognition as Nigeria’s top-ranked university by the Times Higher Education World University Ranking inspired the company to make a meaningful contribution to the institution’s development. Nwanegbu also expressed interest in future collaborations to further enhance the university’s infrastructure.
