Victor Osimhen will remain at Galatasaray as the club confirms no transfer offers and the striker has no plans to leave this summer

Galatasaray insider Arda Özkurt has confirmed that Nigerian forward Victor Osimhen will remain with the Turkish champions, dismissing speculation over a summer transfer, in Istanbul on Friday, February 13, 2026.

Osimhen, who joined Galatasaray permanently following a standout loan spell in the 2024-2025 season, is contracted until June 30, 2029.

The former African Footballer of the Year has scored fifteen goals in twenty-one appearances across all competitions this season, reinforcing his importance to Diego Simeone’s squad.

Özkurt told reporters that Galatasaray had received no official offers for the 2015 FIFA U-20 World Cup Golden Boot winner and has no intention of selling him.

“Osimhen also has no plans to leave. The people sharing these false stories are not being honest,” he added.

Rumours linking Osimhen to Barcelona, searching for a replacement for Robert Lewandowski, and Atletico Madrid, which recently expressed interest, had circulated in the media.

The insider’s statement aims to clarify the striker’s future and calm fans ahead of the summer transfer window.

Osimhen’s consistent goal-scoring form and big-match temperament have made him a key figure for Galatasaray both domestically and in European competition.

Analysts say his ongoing development could further enhance his reputation among Europe’s elite forwards.
