Adenuga addressed claims regarding the actor’s financial status and use of the Papa Ajasco brand while emphasising the production company’s longstanding commitment to fair treatment of all cast members.

Adenuga noted that Abiodun Ayoyinka has maintained a close and professional relationship with Wale Adenuga Productions for decades, describing the actor’s portrayal of Papa Ajasco as closely resembling the original cartoon character created in 1976.

“Candidly, I am addressing this not with malice but in the interest of truth, transparency, and the integrity of a legacy that has entertained millions of Nigerians for decades,” Adenuga stated.

The filmmaker clarified that Ayoyinka, a former Lagos State civil servant with over 30 years of service, has received considerable benefits during his career, including multiple vehicles and a home in Ogun State.

Adenuga questioned recent claims of financial hardship, noting that Wale Adenuga Productions continues to remunerate cast members in line with industry standards.

Adenuga also stressed that Abiodun Ayoyinka and other cast members are free to pursue additional acting roles outside the series.

“Colleagues such as Pa James, Mama Ajasco, Boy Alinco, Miss Pepeiye, Akpan, and Oduma continue to work under their personal names while fulfilling their duties on set,” Adenuga explained. The actor spends only six weeks per year filming episodes, ensuring sufficient time for other professional engagements.

The Papa Ajasco and Company series continues to air on NTA, STV, WAPTV, and online platforms, with episodes reaching audiences across Nigeria and internationally.

Adenuga emphasised that the production company remains committed to brand protection, transparency, and maintaining positive working relationships with artistes and crew members alike.
