Governor Aiyedatiwa Celebrates Ma’ami Ajulo at Amazon Colloquium, Describes her as a Model of Exemplary Motherhood

Ondo State Governor, His Excellency, Dr. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, has lauded Chief (Princess) Christianah Monisola Ajulo as a symbol of efficiency, resilience, and exemplary motherhood. He gave this tribute at The Amazon Colloquium, held in honour of Ma’ami Ajulo’s 90th birthday, at The Dome, Akure.

The event, hosted to celebrate the life and legacy of the nonagenarian matriarch and mother of the Honourable Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Ondo State, Dr. Kayode Ajulo, SAN, OON, attracted an impressive gathering of dignitaries from all walks of life, political leaders, senators, traditional rulers, and key stakeholders in society.

Among those present were the Deputy Governor, Dr. Olayide Adelami, mni; the Chief Judge of Ondo State, Hon. Justice Olusegun Aiyedun; the Secretary to the State Government, Dr. Taiwo Fashoranti; the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Prince Olusegun Omojuwa; Head of Service, Pastor Bayo Philips, SA to the Governor on Women Affairs, Dr Suen Osamaye, the Deji of Akure; the Olubaka of Oka; the Regent of Ifira-Akoko; Dr. Bode Olajumoke; Senator Niyi Adegbonmire; Bashorun Seinde Arogbofa; General Dayo Olukoju, Rtd, and Hon. Femi Meshe, among others.

In a deeply personal reflection, Governor Aiyedatiwa recounted a memorable encounter during his 2023 gubernatorial campaign, when Ma’ami Ajulo whispered a word of prayer into his ear during a visit to her residence in Ifira-Akoko. He described the moment as a powerful and spiritual endorsement, noting that the prayers and blessings of elders like Ma’ami Ajulo were instrumental in his eventual electoral victory, an emphatic 18.0 win across all local government areas of Ondo State.

“Motherhood,” the Governor said, “is not just about nurturing children, it is about shaping destinies, building values, and laying the foundation of society. Ma’ami Ajulo exemplifies all these virtues and more. She is the kind of mother who doesn’t just raise a family, but raises a generation.”

The colloquium, themed “Motherhood: Key to Child Development and Nation Building,” fittingly mirrored Ma’ami Ajulo’s life of sacrifice, faith, and unwavering commitment to the growth and success of her children and community.
