The incident occurred at the Premier Inn Ipswich Town Centre, prompting a large emergency response shortly after 2:30 p.m. local time.

Police and ambulance services were deployed to the six-storey, 85-room hotel after reports of concern for welfare were raised.

Eyewitnesses described a significant presence of emergency vehicles outside the premises, including multiple police cars and vans, as officers cordoned off the area.

According to Suffolk Police, the ambulance service alerted officers, who then entered the room and discovered both individuals unresponsive.

The police confirmed that the next of kin of the deceased have been informed, while investigations into the circumstances surrounding the deaths are ongoing.
