Command spokesperson Abimbola Adebisi said on Monday that two officers have been formally queried, while one has been defaulted in accordance with established disciplinary procedures.

The review follows allegations that Devcharlezen was unlawfully detained, intimidated, and subjected to attempted extortion by officers from Ladegboye Police Station.

He reported the incident occurred at about 10.00 a.m. on Saturday while travelling from Ikeja to Epe.

Devcharlezen claimed the officers questioned his tribe, state of origin, and activities in Lagos despite showing his NYSC identification card.

He alleged that one officer seized his phone, searched private messages, accused him of internet fraud, and demanded $1,000 from his cryptocurrency account.

He said he and his girlfriend were driven separately in police vehicles for nearly three hours and pressured to confess to fraud, during which she jumped from the moving vehicle and sustained bruises.

He also alleged his NYSC cap was discarded, his identity card torn, and his car returned with scratches and mechanical faults.

Adebisi commended Devcharlezen for coming forward, describing his courage as exemplary.

The command said the investigation is ongoing, and further updates will follow as inquiries proceed.
