The facility, described by residents and traders as transformational, will be formally opened on Sunday, 21st September 2025, at 11:00 a.m. The new ultra-modern market is expected to reinvigorate local commerce, improve the trading environment, and bolster economic activities in Ogijo and surrounding areas.

Senator Daniel, former Governor of Ogun State and now the lawmaker representing Ogun East Senatorial District, has consistently focused on delivering people-oriented projects.

The Gbenga Daniel Ultra-Modern Market is the latest in his long list of initiatives aimed at empowering grassroots communities and improving livelihoods.

According to community stakeholders, the market will provide traders with a cleaner, safer, and more organised trading space, helping to decongest existing informal markets and opening up new business opportunities.

Local traders, market unions, and community leaders have expressed profound gratitude to Senator Daniel for his continued investment in the area, noting that the market’s strategic location would likely draw more commercial traffic and stimulate microeconomic growth.

The project is viewed as a powerful statement of effective representation and a model for inclusive development.
