President Muhammadu Buhari on Monday night met with Borno Governor Babagana Zulum behind closed doors at the State House, Abuja
The details of the meeting is yet to be revealed but sources said the discussions centred around the security situation in Borno State.
Borno State have been battling with incessant attacks linked to Boko Haram and the Islamic State, West African Province (ISWAP). Despite the deployment of the Nigerian Army and other Security personnel by the Federal Government, some parts of the state is under the control of Boko Haram.
On Sunday, more than 30 soldiers were reportedly lost to a terrorist invasion on a military base in Mainok town around 60 kilometres out of Maiduguri, the Borno State capital.
