Dr. Chike Akunyili, the husband of late former Information Minister and NAFDAC boss, Professor. Dora Akunyili, has been murdered by unknown gunmen.
Chike Akunyili was killed at Umuoji in Idemili North LGA of Anambra State on Tuesday evening, September 28.
As of the time of filing this report, no official statement has been released by the family or the Nigeria Police Force
Accordingb to reports, Dr Akunyili was murdered on his way from Enugu after a meeting at the University of Nigeria Nsukka Alumni Association (UNAA) where he spoke glowingly of his late wife who was a member and was on his way home when he was killed by the gunmen.
Before his death, Dr Chike headed the St Leo Hospital,one of the biggest hospital in Enugu.
