The United Kingdom (UK) to lift travel ban on Nigeria, other countries soon amid claims it was unfair.
Recall the UK government banned all flights from Nigeria and six southern African countries following the cases of the Omicron Variant detected.
According to Daily Mail, Grant Shapps, the UK transport secretary, convinced the government that the travel ban should be replaced with testing for the fully vaccinated. The move is expected to be approved this week.
Meanwhile, with the travel ban placed on Nigeria by the UK, the Canadian government in order to curb the spread of the COVID-19 variant, Omicron has forced the federal government to retaliate with a ban effective from Tuesday.
