The 12th AALBA ceremony, held in Johannesburg, South Africa, recognised the late banker’s exemplary contributions to African business growth. The esteemed judging panel, comprising African Business News network owners of CNBC and Forbes Africa, hailed Wigwe as a visionary leader.
Emeka Wigwe, Herbert’s brother, accepted the award on his behalf, flown in from Nigeria to honor his late sibling.
