Oando PLC announces the appointment of Ms. Ayotola Jagun, a seasoned legal and governance professional with 30+ years of experience, as its new Executive Director, effective May 20, 2025

Oando PLC has announced the appointment of Ms. Ayotola Jagun as an Executive Director, effective May 20th, 2025.

This appointment, made in accordance with Article 88 of the Company’s Articles of Association, reinforces Oando’s commitment to strong and inclusive leadership and strategic growth.

Ms. Jagun brings over three decades of extensive experience as a legal and governance professional, having worked across professional services, financial services, and the energy sectors.

Her expertise spans corporate governance, regulatory compliance, enterprise risk management, and sustainability.

For the past fourteen years, Ayotola has served as Oando’s Chief Compliance Officer & Company Secretary.

In this role, she was crucial in aligning the Company’s corporate practices with global standards, fostering a culture of transparency, and bolstering stakeholder confidence.

Ayotola’s appointment underscores Oando’s commitment to strong and inclusive leadership, strategic growth, and sustainable value creation.

A dual-qualified lawyer, Ms. Jagun is a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria and a Solicitor of the Senior Courts of England and Wales.

She is a highly respected figure in governance circles, holding Fellowships with the Corporate Governance Institute, the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators of Nigeria, and the Chartered Institute of Directors (Nigeria).

She is also a member of the Nigerian Bar Association, affiliations that highlight her dedication to ethical business practices, robust corporate governance, stakeholder engagement, and industry collaboration.

Oando stated that Ms. Jagun’s wealth of experience will be instrumental in strengthening the Company’s institutional frameworks, enhancing risk management and oversight, and ensuring corporate services are fully aligned with Oando’s long-term strategic objectives for sustainable value creation.
