APC chieftain Eze Chukwuemeka tells Tinubu to forget 2027 re-election bid, hails opposition figures for forming alliance to rescue Nigeria from misrule

Tinubu told to exit 2027 race by All Progressives Congress chieftain Eze Chukwuemeka Eze, who declared that the President has lost the moral grounds to seek re-election.

In a strongly worded statement, Eze said the damage allegedly inflicted on Nigeria by Bola Tinubu’s administration was enough to disqualify him from contesting again.

Eze, a former National Publicity Secretary of the defunct nPDP and a member of the APC Legacy Media Team, commended key opposition figures for uniting to salvage Nigeria.

Among those he praised were former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, Labour Party’s Peter Obi, ex-Transportation Minister Rotimi Amaechi, former Kaduna Governor Nasir El-Rufai, former Senate President David Mark, and Dr Umar Ardo.

Their reported alliance, he said, represents a glimmer of hope for Nigerians tired of misrule. “May I therefore on behalf of myself and family congratulate Atiku Abubakar, Amaechi, Peter Obi, Umar Ardo, David Mark, Nasir El-Rufai and all those that made this mission to salvage our dear nation possible,” Eze stated.

The emerging coalition, said to be championed by the Nigerian National Coalition Group, has already applied to register a new political platform — the All Democratic Party, ADA — with the Independent National Electoral Commission. Akin Ricketts and Abdullahi Elayo are listed as protem National Chairman and Secretary respectively.

Eze described the Tinubu presidency as a period marked by unprecedented hardship, insecurity, and national embarrassment. He accused the administration of fostering “bloodletting, kidnapping, misery, abject poverty, and devastating hunger,” adding that it had turned Nigeria into an object of ridicule before the international community.

According to him, those forming the new alliance are not just opposition figures but “caring, patriotic, eminent and grassroots-oriented leaders” who are committed to redeeming the nation from failed leadership. “God will surely answer our collective prayers in our drive to salvage and liberate this country,” he said.

The APC chieftain concluded by urging Tinubu to prepare to vacate office. “President Tinubu can now start packing his luggages for his much-anticipated movement back to his Bourdillon Home after all the colossal damages he has committed,” Eze asserted.

The remarks underscore growing discontent within even Tinubu’s own party and add momentum to talks of a broad opposition coalition aimed at toppling the APC in 2027.
