Crystal News earlier reported that unknown gunmen suspected to be bandits forcefully gained entrance into the school by breaking part of the perimeter fence of the college whisking scores of students

Reacting, Mr. President in a statement issued by his spokesman, Garba Shehu, on Monday, described the abduction as cowardly and despicable.

He said President Buhari was concerned over attacks on Kaduna and Niger States, largely targeted at students.

He urged security outfits to “act swiftly” to rescue all school boys and girls in the affected states and ensure their safe return.

Buhari said the disturbing incidents of student kidnap, mostly in Northern states, was already threatening to undermine efforts in boosting school enrolments in states that were adjudged educationally backward.

He, however, called on state governments to ensure compliance with the UN-supported Safe Schools Programme, which the administration had adopted.

Meanwhile, former federal lawmaker, Senator Shehu Sani, has named the masterminds of a series of kidnappings going on in the State.

Sani said the recent kidnappings of students, babies, and women from different locations in the State were masterminded by Dogo Gide and Baleri.

In one of his latest tweets, Sani said “the kidnapping of the students of the Federal College of Agricultural mechanization and that of the Greenfield University supposed to send a message to schools located in the Outskirts of Kaduna to close down. The abductions of students of the Bethel Baptist College was avoidable.

“In Kaduna state within three days, the bandits kidnapped more students and babies and nurses from our hospitals.

“They raided the Bethel Church and also abducted 13 women going to a wedding. The arrest we need is that of Dogo Gide and Baleri, the masterminds of this terrorism,”
